NONPROFIT MANAGEMENT INTERNSHIP

The Richard Mauthe Center is a non profit organization located on the UWGB campus, but independent of the university. Role

Work directly with the Executive Director to plan and facilitate educational programming and social events, as well as assist with program development and day-to-day operations.

Event planning: organize and facilitate events with Staff and volunteers.

Program development: work with staff to develop action plans fo iimplementing strategic planning goals, and new programming/events.

Volunteer management: assist in training and coordinate volunteers for events.

Office administration: assist with database management, accounting, website updates, social media, and event publicity/marketing.

Special Events and Projects: Duties and Roles  

❖ Assist with surveys and outreach to establish program and project needs among students and community members 

❖ Work as a team to develop program and projects outlines 

❖ Assist and support in marketing and promotion of events and projects 

❖ Help gain volunteers for projects and programs 

❖ Create checklists and shopping lists for events/projects 

❖ Lead volunteers during the event 

❖ Prepare space and food at special events 

❖ Organize and support event clean up 

❖ Supervise check-in at events 

❖ Record attendee information 

❖ Follow up with calls and emails to event attendees 

Other expectations: ❖ Support other staff with all cleaning as necessary❖ Support other interns, volunteers and staff with programs and projects ❖ Attend weekly staff meetings
